Chloe 'N Tippy

Here is the first doll I have made in over 3 years, as she sits
with her friend Tippy. Both of whom are available for adoption.

It was so great and refreshing to make a doll again, and do something
different.  I love making my bears, but to have another option,
to be able to take you mind off bears and go somewhere else was
just so great.  I will be making more dolls.  I already have on other
one in the making.  She will be smaller than Chloe, who is 9.5 inches.
I'm trying to keep the next one around 6 inches.

Tippy is available on Bear Pile

Chloe is available on eBay

Thank you for stopping by!  :D

Dolls to Bears

Before I started making bears I was making cloth dolls.  I did that off and on for about
7-8 years.  The first dolls I made were the primitive kind.  Very old and grungy looking.
That was fun, with button eyes and aged with cinnamon and coffee.
I stepped away from that for a few years, then one day a friend gave me a bag of
cotton stuffing.
Mmmmmmm, what was I going to do with this.  Okay, I decided to get some
muslin fabric and try a doll.  But this time I wanted to do painted faces and
make cute big eyed dolls.  This was back in '08 and '09.  The pictures are some
of the dolls I had made.

I discovered bears in the summer of '09 and never finished the doll I was
at the time working on.
That would be the little doll pictured below.
Poor little thing.  But her day may be coming soon.
I have been itching lately to do some dolls.  I think I
will finish this doll finally, after over three years.
She is a patient little one.
I've learned a lot while making bears and I hope that if
I add cloth dolls to my work table they will benefit from all
that I have learned.

The three little bears  ;)  shown here are all available for
adoption on Bear Pile.
I know they would love for you to visit them.
And who knows, maybe soon you will also see the
little doll all done and ready for a new home too.

Blossom & her ellie

This darling bear is Blossom.  And of course her favorite toy
ellie.  <3
These two such a sweet pair and will come together when adopted.
They are available on Bearpile
Yay! Blossom and Ellie have been adopted!!

Blossom is made of woven wool and is about 4.75 inches tall. She
has a bit of subtle shading, some faux repair stitching and a variety
of accessories.  Including her ellie.   ;)

This sweet little ellie is 3" X 2" and has many layers of aging.
The picture doesn't show just how wonderful this little ellie is.
This ellie is also available for adoption separately and will be made to order.
I would be happy to customize the color of the polka dots too.
These little darlings will go for $15.00 plus shipping.
(I will soon be adding other animals, maybe bunnies. . .   )

Ollie Bear
is now available on Bearpile.
Happily Ollie has now been adopted!  :)
He is such a sweet little bear, and the pictures really don't do him justice.
I really like the aged, old toy shoppe style of bear.  And from that
inspiration Ollie was born.  He may not be pretty in the classic sense, but I think he's
pretty great and a very sweet bear!!!

I've had a hard time with sales lately.  I'm not sure why.  I sometimes I think
my bears are sort of different and people don't like or "get" them.  But I really like them
and I like making them, and at the same time I need them to sell.  So then, do I
try for a more traditional/classic looking bear??? I am at a loss at this point.
I've always been someone who is a bit outside the box and I guess that
shows in my bears. . . . I really must think, think, think for a while and
decide what to do, , , , what to do.
I really do hope you've enjoyed visiting Ollie and thanks for letting me
share my feelings a bit.   :)

SCOUT

Scout
a very sweet little 4.5" (11.4 cm) bear.
I took my time making this little guy. I really
needed to take a step back, I had been going so
strong for quite some time.  The slower pace was
what I really needed.  So now here is Scout.
And now I am working on four bears for an order.
Time to get busy again(?)
;)

Have a great day and if you get a chance visit Scout over on

but would really love to be adopted and are still available
over on Etsy.
And this is Lady and Dilly.
Dilly is on Etsy.

in adopting her you can email me and I would
be happy to help you.
